MetrixLab is headquartered in Rotterdam and San Francisco with 15 offices across the USA, Europe and Asia, MetrixLab provides analytics and insights services in more than 50 countries. MetrixLab is ever evolving with mergers and acquisition as well as entering new markets on our own. Since 2014 we are part of the Macromill Group and since 2017 the Macromill is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

In the past 6 years we have successfully opened offices in Singapore, Mumbai, Shanghai and Dubai. Until now we have serviced our clients in Australia out of our Singapore office. As part of our larger strategic AMEA (Asia, Middle East & Africa) expansion plan, plus the increasing demand and our steady existing client relationships, this is the right time to open our local office in Australia (Sydney).

Digital is our focus in many ways! Besides our extensive experience testing in the digital world (e.g. social media environments), we leverage our own MetrixLab digital platforms and tools to deliver high quality and innovative research in the most efficient way.

In Australia we will mainly focus on two pillars:

Brand engagement Help our clients to develop brand communications with optimal messages. Ensure our clients make the most out of their marketing spend across all touchpoints. Gain a deeper understanding of our clients’ target audience. Develop insights and assess and build brands in a more intelligent way. MetrixLab provides a suite of brand, advertising and cross-media research solutions to help our clients achieve their objectives.

Product Innovation – A business can only ensure continued growth through pro-active, fact based marketing and innovation strategies grounded in superior consumer insights. Uncovering the right opportunities, developing innovative product solutions and initiating smart go-to-market strategies are the three crucial building blocks that will help our clients succeed. MetrixLab provides a suite of exploration, design/development and activation research solutions to help our clients grow their business.

This must sound all pretty generic but what makes us different is our innovative approach and tools we use to collect our data. We utilise customised online 3D shopping environments, test ads in an unforced environment to mimic reality (to name a few) and our surveys are visual and interactive to engage respondents all the way up to the end.

What you’ll be responsible for:

As the Senior Research Manager in Australia you will be in charge of building a strong local team over the coming years. You will leverage your expertise and MetrixLab’s research solution (across Product innovation and Brand Engagement) to provide actionable marketing business insights to our clients. Also connecting with our global MetrixLab network of researchers and consultants to leverage their knowledge is key to success.

Together with the Managing Director you’ll manage existing local client relationships and deliver excellent quality which leaves them no other choice than to come back for more.

What you’ll need

  • 5+ years’ experience in a quantitative research role where you’ve interacted directly with clients
  • Management/ leadership experience in a business environment
  • A flair for managing existing relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Experience with product innovation, advertising testing, campaign evaluations, brand health tracking and other marketing research techniques
  • Experience with A-Z research (from designing questionnaire to present to client)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A can-do attitude
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to solving business issues
  • Have a passion for brands and “predicting people”

Meet the team

You will be part of the research organisation, responsible for delivering impactful insights to our clients. We are a relatively flat organization; the Senior Research Manager in Australia will report into our AMEA Research Director who reports into the Global head of Research and Operations. In the office you will work closely with the Managing Director who has previously worked in our MetrixLab London office and is relocated to Sydney to get the office off the ground.

You’ll join us on this journey and contribute directly to the success of our brand-new Australian office.
